YoungLives

YOUNGLIVES' mission and vision are the same as Young Life's.

Our adolescent audience is focused on teen mothers who are pregnant or parenting.

Reaching Out To Teen Moms

Moms and Babies in the pool at Camp
There are teen moms in your backyard who are desperate for love to walk into their cafeterias, their doctor's appointments, their homes ... their lives. YoungLives is doing just that and changing generations. We are reaching out to young women who have never experienced the real love of Christ. We come alongside to help them discover who they were created to be. God has an exciting plan for their future!

National Statistics
  • The United States has the highest rates of teen pregnancy and births in the Western industrialized world.
  • Nearly one-third of young women become pregnant at least once before age 20.
  • Teen mothers are less likely to complete high school and more likely to end up on welfare

Impacting Teen Moms... Shaping Generations
YoungLives was born more than 20 years ago and has never wavered from the original vision to reach teen moms by entering their world, modeling the unconditional love of Christ, and encouraging them to become the women and mothers God created them to be. Through Young Life’s time-tested methods and life-on-life mentoring, teen moms are empowered to make positive choices, set and achieve goals, and live a future rooted in Christ.
Greater Forsyth County YoungLives is going strong. Ellen Wallace (pictured left) serves as one of our YoungLives mentors.  Along with our other mentors, these women pour out their lives caring for teen mothers and their children.  Behind the scenes, the YoungLives Committee supports and encourages the mentors and the YoungLives ministry as a whole. They pray, drive, provide club meals and childcare, along with other organizational/support tasks.

Club meets weekly during the school year on Tuesday evenings.
